Kitchenmeile 2026: This is what awaits you in East Westphalia

Adaptive Living | Part 1
Just a few days to go, and the focus of the kitchen industry turns to the KM Küchenmeile 2026 in East Westphalia. The first insights into the 2027 collections reveal a development that can be described as „Adaptive Living“. The starting point is the diverse personalities, lifestyles and needs of people. They form the benchmark for furniture, functions and technology that are tailored to the respective room and everyday routines.
Design-wise, this development is reflected in warm colours and natural surfaces, softer contours and new lighting solutions. At the same time, an increasing number of designs are continuing colours, materials and furniture elements beyond the kitchen and into the living area.
The central functional areas of the kitchen are also being further developed. At the kitchen water station, sink, tap, drinking water system and base unit organisation are increasingly coming together as a total solution. Worktops are gaining in importance as a design element, while fittings perform functional tasks while simultaneously blending into the homely overall aesthetic. With hob extractors, the focus is on a stripped-back design, optimised airflow and quieter operating noise. Furthermore, connected domestic appliances and digital applications are taking over more and more control and decision-making processes. Many manufacturers are still keeping their most important innovations under wraps. Here are the first insights:

ARTEGO KITCHENS
Technology with a design aesthetic
Under the trade fair motto „Technic meets design“, artego is combining new design possibilities with technical developments. Organic colours and decors meet slimmer frames for drawers and pull-outs. The handleless range is complemented by the Q3-XSL series and a new illuminated profile for the Q3 programme.

BALLERINA KITCHENS
Individuality is given more scope
For the Küchenmeile, Ballerina is opening its new exhibition building in Rödinghausen, thereby also giving the 2027 collection a new spatial framework. Under the motto „Ballerina. REAL & INDIVIDUAL“, the focus is on new colours, high-quality real materials and further developed fittings. In doing so, the gaze extends beyond the classic kitchen: various functional and living areas show how materials, colours and equipment can be combined into cohesive interior design concepts. The new exhibition makes this planning diversity directly tangible. Concrete marketing approaches also provide specialist retailers with inspiration for presentation in their own showroom.

BAUFORMAT and BURGER KÜCHEN
Infinite expanses. New scopes.
Under the motto „UNI.VERSE – endless.precision“, Bauformat and Burger are propelling the kitchen into a new design orbit. Furniture is not viewed as standalone pieces, but as part of seamless interior design concepts. New colour worlds, additional planning options and technical precision will define the baumann group's joint in-house exhibition from 18 to 25 September in Löhne.

BERBEL
Premiere at Gut Böckel
For the first time, berbel is presenting its new products together with Franke at Gut Böckel. The trade fair presentation spans the arc from the revised Downline family to a first glimpse of the models for 2027. Optimised airflow, quieter operating noise and larger induction coils accompany an increasingly minimalist hob design. A new addition is the Shapeline angled extractor hood, whose floating glass front and continuous light slot combine technology and form into a clear, unified whole.

BLANCO
The kitchen sink area as a stage
What highlights Blanco will be staging this year at Gut Böckel is still being kept secret by the company. One thing is certain: under the trade fair motto „The kitchen sink area as the heart of the kitchen“, BLANCO is focusing on the interaction of all components surrounding the BLANCO UNIT at Gut Böckel. Announced are a new product family of mixers and sinks, additional options for base cabinet organisation as well as new colours for VELGRANIT and DURINOX. Digital applications and a new POS concept are also part of the trade fair presentation. Visitors can find out on site what lies behind the announced innovations and colour worlds.

BRIGITTE KITCHENS
Independent profiles, shared strengths
Under the banner „PERFECTLY ALIGNED“, Brigitte and Kuhlmann Küchen are repositioning their brands. The new orientation sharpens the profiles of both brands while simultaneously pooling their strengths in development and product ranges. Initial results of this concept include a new exclusive drawer system, authentic wood decors and fronts with a pronounced tactile feel. The expanded Colour Concept opens up additional scope for colour design.

DEKKER
The new presence of the worktop
Dekker Zevenhuizen demonstrates just how much influence the worktop has on the character and spatial impact of a kitchen in the architectural workshop. With „Quiet Balance“ and „Sculpted Space“, the company presents two contrasting design concepts: flowing contours, finely coordinated natural tones and gentle transitions meet precise geometries, striking contrasts and sculpturally staged surfaces. The worktop becomes an architectural element that determines proportions, connects materials and structures the space. The ColourXperience digital platform makes different combinations vivid right from the consultation stage. In addition, the Dekker method is intended to make high-quality, custom-made worktops easier to plan and market beyond the premium segment.

EXPRESS KITCHENS
Colour as part of the system
With the country-style range HOME in sage green, Express Küchen is providing a first glimpse of its collection for the Küchenmeile. Under the motto „Clever Ideas. Smart Kitchens.“, the manufacturer is expanding its colour palette for fronts and carcases while simultaneously optimising the surfaces of two product lines. The new features will be presented in the extensively redesigned showroom featuring newly staged kitchen layouts. *Photo | AI-assisted editing

HÄCKER KITCHENS
The art of mastering diversity
Under the banner „Inspired by simplicity“, Häcker is focusing on an apparent paradox: how can kitchen planning be simplified without restricting the design choices? To achieve this, the manufacturer is bringing the two product lines concept130 and systemat closer together, making it easier to combine them for seamless designs. At the same time, new front models and an expanded colour spectrum in RAL, RAL Design, NCS and SELECTION increase the scope for individual design. The range is complemented by new details in surrounding elements, lighting and technology. Häcker will be presenting the individual solutions that can be created from this during the Küchenmeile trade fair in Rödinghausen.

Personality instead of standard

How bespoke planning makes kitchens unique

A kitchen does not become personal solely through its shape, its colour or its price. What is crucial is how precisely it fits the room, the habits and the ideas of its users. Some want to plan the kitchen as an independent work area, while others integrate dining, living or working. Requirements also differ when it comes to storage space, materials, features and technical equipment.
